This year two winners were selected in the Greene County Soil and Water Conservation District’s annual poster contest. This year’s theme was, “Local Heros – Your Hardworking Pollinators.”

The winner of the lower age division was Gavin Scheuermann, a Greene County third grade student of Mr Kevin Paulsen. Gavin is the son of Shawn and Crystal Scheuermann of Paton.

The winner of the upper age division was Kaleb Hoyle, a Greene County sixth grade student of Mr Spencer Bauer. Kaleb is the son of J.J. and Teresa Hoyle of Grand Junction.
Greene SWCD secretary Amber Kenan awarded each winner with a $20 gift certificate to the A&W and a Dairy Queen ice cream cake that each winner could share with his class.
